The task was to create a heraldic symbol of the place based on the history
of the village and heraldic tradition of Ukraine and the region.
Завданням, що перед нами стояло, було створити геральдичний символ,
який би спирався на історію села та геральдичні традиції України й регіону.
Background
According to the history of the village, it was a Cossack settlement back in the XVIII century that occupied the right rocky bank of the Dnipro river. The hugest sphere of employment of citizens was fishing, transporting, and agriculture during all periods of existence of the village.
Обґрунтування
Згідно історії села, це було козацьке поселення, засноване у XVIII столітті, яке займало правий скелястий берег Дніпра. Найбільшими сферами зайнятості жителів протягом усього часу існування поселення були рибальсьво, річковий транспорт та сільське господарство.
creation process
Сoat of arms consists of three major elements:
— the shield is painted in colors of a flag of the village symbolizing a Dnipro river and its tributaries as well as colors of Ukrainian flag;
— ancor is symbolizing the fishing and river transport industry, the saber is about the past Cossack history of the village and the sickle is for harvesting and agriculture;
— a crown of wheatears is a traditional element of village heraldry in Ukraine, and in the bottom, there are willow branches directed to the top, willow is a native Slavic plant with a huge folk-lore background that grows near the rivers and lakes.
Герб складається з трьох основних елементів:
— щит пофарбований у кольори прапора села, який символізує Дніпро і його рукави, і співвідноситься з кольорами прапора України;
— якір символізує рибальство та річковий транспорт, шабля — козацьке минуле села, а серп — жнива та сільське господарство;
— корона з колосків пшениці — це традиційний елемент сільської геральдики України, унизу розташовані гілки верби, направлені доверху; верба — це рідна слов'янська рослина, яка має потужне фольклорне підґрунтя, і росте біля річок та озер.
